A blowout is the lowest-commitment thing on the menu. Nothing is cut, nothing is coloured, nothing about your hair is permanently different when you leave. It is washed, blown out and finished properly, and that is the whole service.
It books as Women's Shampoo & Style, from $38, and it takes 30 minutes — less time than most people spend fighting a round brush at home for a worse result.
It is done by Zahara, Navpreet and Aman, and you pick which one.
What actually happens in the chair.

01
You say where you are going
A blowout for a wedding is not the same finish as a blowout for a Tuesday. Smooth and sleek, soft and full, waves through the ends — say it in one sentence.
-
02
Washed at the basin
Shampooed and conditioned for your hair type, not for whatever bottle is closest. Any treatment you added goes on here.
-
03
The blow-dry
Sectioned and dried with a brush — tension, angle and one section at a time is the part that is hard to replicate at home.
-
04
The finish
Smoothed, shaped or waved to whatever you asked for, and set so it holds. You leave done, not damp.
This is not a haircut.
These two bookings get confused constantly, and booking the wrong one is how a visit goes sideways.
Women's Shampoo & Style — from $38, 30 minutes. No scissors. Washed, blown out, finished. The shape you walk in with is the shape you walk out with, done properly.
Women's Haircut, Wash & Style — from $40, 1 hour 30 minutes. The shape changes. Length, layers and weight are cut, then washed and finished. Book this one when the cut has grown out — the haircut page covers it.
Two dollars separates the starting prices. An hour separates the appointments. If you are not sure which you need, book the cut: a 30-minute slot cannot absorb a haircut, but a 90-minute slot can absorb a blowout.
When people actually book one.
Before something. A wedding, a work event, a birthday, photographs, a first date. Getting ready is the part of an occasion that eats the most time and produces the most stress, and this removes it for $38.
When the cut is fine and the hair is not. Some weeks it will not do what it is told. Half an hour resets it.
Between colour appointments. Colour looks best on finished hair. A blowout is the cheapest way to make the money you already spent look like it was worth it.
Winnipeg does not have much in the way of dedicated blow dry bars, and Artistly is not one — it is a full salon with a 30-minute wash and style on the menu, booked with a named stylist like everything else here.
Worth adding to it.
A blowout on treated hair is a noticeably better blowout, and the treatment goes on at the basin while you are already there.
Hydration Treatment — from $45, 45 minutes. For hair that has gone dry, dull or brittle, which in Winnipeg is most hair by February.
De-Frizz Treatment — $45, 45 minutes. It makes a smooth blowout hold noticeably longer.
Both are separate services with their own time on top of the 30 minutes, so add them when you book. The full list is on the treatments page. If you want smooth to last months rather than days, that is a keratin treatment instead.
Questions we get asked.
How much is a blowout in Winnipeg?
At Artistly it is booked as Women's Shampoo & Style and starts at $38. Very long or very thick hair takes longer to dry and finish, which can move the number, and your stylist confirms it with you at the start rather than at the till.
How long does a blowout take?
30 minutes. That is the whole booking — wash, blow-dry and finish. It is the shortest appointment on the hair menu, which is what makes it easy to fit into a day that already has something in it.
What is the difference between this and a haircut and style?
Nothing is cut in a shampoo and style. Your hair is washed, blown out and finished, 30 minutes from $38. A Women's Haircut, Wash & Style is the appointment where the shape actually changes — length, layers and weight are cut before it is washed and finished — and that is 1 hour 30 minutes from $40. If the cut has grown out, book the haircut. If the cut is fine and you want it to look done, book this one.
Is it worth booking before an event?
That is what most of these bookings are for. Weddings, work events, birthdays, photographs, or a night out you would rather not spend an hour getting ready for. Book the slot a few days ahead if the date matters, because evening and weekend times fill first.
How long will a blowout last?
Two to three days is typical, and it depends more on your hair than on the styling. Fine hair drops sooner, thick and coarse hair holds longer. Keep water off it, sleep on it loose rather than tied tight, and use dry shampoo at the root on day two.
Can I add a treatment?
Yes, and say so when you book rather than on the day, because a treatment is a separate service with its own time on top of the 30 minutes. A hydration treatment is from $45 for 45 minutes and a de-frizz treatment is $45 for 45 minutes. Both go on at the basin before the blow-dry.
Do you take walk-ins?
We do take walk-ins, but please call 431-844-5500 first to check availability before coming in. At 30 minutes this is one of the easier services to fit in, but the chair still belongs to a named stylist whose day may already be full.
Styling is done by Zahara, whose focus is hair, colour and brows, alongside Navpreet and Aman. You choose your stylist when you book.
Every service and starting price is listed on the booking page. Nothing is "price on request", and your exact price is confirmed in the chair before work starts.
