Start with your hair history. If you have noticed breakage or a change in texture, tell your artist about recent colour, bleach, heat styling and other treatments. Explain the change without trying to diagnose it from a single strand.
Artistly lists FORTIFY for highly damaged hair. Ask which product will be used and what improvement is realistic for your condition. A treatment name is not a promise of permanent repair or permission to proceed with more lightening.
FORTIFY is from $50 CAD with a 45-minute booking slot. Confirm any separate cut or colour work, its price and the time needed before the appointment.
Before more colour or lightening.
Tell the artist if you already have a colour or highlights appointment planned. Ask them to assess whether it is appropriate to go ahead and how any treatment fits into the plan.
Avoid assuming that a treatment makes damaged hair ready for another chemical service. Product choice, timing and suitability need an assessment of your hair.
Plan your appointment.
- 01
Describe what has changed
Tell your artist what you notice, the finish you want and how you usually wash and style your hair. Mention previous colour, bleach, perms or smoothing.
- 02
Confirm the product and price
Ask which treatment fits your concern, how it will be applied and what result is realistic. Agree on the service, complete price and any separate additions before starting.
- 03
Allow the booked time
The menu reserves 45 minutes for each treatment. Preparation, application and styling follow the chosen product and your hair needs; ask the artist what is included.
- 04
Get specific aftercare
Confirm suitable home products, washing and styling guidance and when to reassess the result. Ask before planning another treatment or chemical service.
Discuss realistic limits.
Ask what the treatment can reasonably improve and what it cannot address. A glossy finish should not be taken as proof that damage has been permanently repaired or that future breakage has been prevented.
If you are choosing between Hydration from $45 and FORTIFY from $50, discuss both concerns with your artist. Reassess before committing to repeat appointments rather than assuming you need a preset course.
Questions we get asked.
How much does it cost?
FORTIFY starts at $50 CAD with a 45-minute booking slot. A cut, colour or blow-dry is priced separately. Confirm the final total and any applicable tax with your artist before work starts.
Is my hair breaking or shedding?
Describe what you notice and when it began. A general service page cannot determine the cause. Ask your artist to assess whether a salon treatment is an appropriate response before selecting FORTIFY.
Will FORTIFY permanently repair my hair?
Do not treat the service name as a guarantee of permanent repair or prevention of breakage. Ask which formula will be used, what improvements are realistic and what may require a different approach.
Should I book it before my next highlights?
Tell your artist about the planned highlights and any breakage before either service. They should assess suitability and timing; a treatment does not automatically make more lightening appropriate.
Is this the same as Hydration Treatment?
They are separate menu services: FORTIFY starts at $50 and Hydration starts at $45, each with a 45-minute booking slot. Your artist can explain the products and which option, if any, matches your concern.
How long will the result last?
Ask your artist for an estimate for the specific product and your hair. Results and duration vary; there is no fixed number of weeks or repeat-booking interval that applies to every treatment.
Can I walk in for a treatment?
Call 431-844-5500 to check availability before coming in. Each of these treatment services has a 45-minute booking slot; adding a cut or colour requires its own time.
FORTIFY is done by RV, Karan, Noor, Zahara, Cambrie, Jordan, Sydney and Bleona. You choose your artist when you book.
